Urban Coyote Message For You

My friend drove me home a few nights ago as we were talking, I saw the silhouette of a dog unattended by a human, skulking across the street up ahead by the street light. I exclaimed that I think I saw a coyote so we drove up ahead to the open field and we sat a cat. My friend laughed and said "I think you just saw a cat". But then the cat arched it's back in an exaggerated stance and it's hair got all bristly - we knew we had to point our headlights into the field. I could see just the tip of the ears but another car drove by at the cross-street and there, right in the middle of the high school field, was an urban coyote. I haven't stopped thinking about this wild dog making it's way through the city in the middle of the night. In fact, there have been a few sightings but I never saw one in person myself.

Coyote animal totems have the best meaning. And because you are reading my blog, the coyote is sending you this message today too. Coyotes remind you to laugh at yourself. If things have been too way serious lately, you simply turn it around and move on with your life. Stop dwelling on your worries and stresses and know that you can't figure it all out now. You have subconsciously or consciously asked for the help you need, so just let go and allow the universe to do what it needs to do for you. Do something that gives you pleasure and joy and focus on the positives for a change.

Serendipities

Hello May! We are in the last month of spring. All the flowers are in bloom and the trees full of green. It's that time of year to clean out, get started and make it happen. I wanted to do a licensing show this year - specifically in person. But it didn't happen in the way I thought I could make it happen. So, I worked on drumming up some work on my own and it worked out! There are still some avenues I am exploring and things I wish were in place, but I'm glad I decided not to pursue something that wasn't ideal and put my work out there ahead of all the shows anyway. I love when things are unexpected. And I love when things just surprise and delight me when I focus on staying open.

This weeks piece is a play on all the colors, floral designs and patterns I saw in Oaxaca, Mexico. Yes... I am still there in my mind! It's truly a magical place. If you can, you should go visit the city and it's surrounding villages. Do you have a serendipitous story to share? I would love to hear it. Visit and follow my instagram to comment and share there.

On the Road

We took an impromptu trip this week! I usually have something planned but decided to be spontaneous and take Happy Wednesday on the road with me to see what I came up with. I'm completely inspired by the culture, the colors, the food and the people here. I'll reveal where I am in next weeks post! Maybe this art piece may clue you in? Hope you are having a good week and a very Happy Wednesday. 💞

Pink Moon

The pink moon has started from April 10th and will be visible until today, April 12th. The moon isn't actually pink, it was named this by Native Americans to record time and seasons. At the time of the first full moon of the Spring Equinox, wild ground phlox (also known as moss pink) is rapidly in bloom at the same time. The term “pink moon” is said to represent these popular springtime flowers. Other names for this moon are Full Sprouting Grass Moon, the Egg Moon or the Full Fish Moon.

Metaphysically, The April Pink Moon is about learning to see both sides of thing. Having compassion for yourself and others. It's a time of slowing down, stepping back and being patient. Take time to plan your dreams and goal before forging ahead. Be patient and gentle with yourself around this time until the next full moon.

Light Shifts

I don't know about you guys but the fact that the days are longer and we have more light does wonders for me. Not to say that the darkness isn't calming and quiet and I need that sometimes. But there's something about coming out of the darkness of winter that is so opening to your spirit. We're having more sun here and a lot more light even when it's cloudy. It's refreshing and feels like renewal. I hope you are getting outside and enjoying the longer days. Here's a piece that reminds me of light shifts.

Happy Wednesday ❤
